Legal risk rarely begins in the courtroom. It begins in everyday decisions, systems and missed warning signs

This course is designed for NDIS executives and senior leaders who make decisions about legal risk, governance responsibilities and the realities of everyday service delivery.

Through key court cases from the disability services sector, you will examine how legal decisions connect with governance, compliance and frontline practice. The cases reveal recurring system failures, including gaps between policy and practice, missed opportunities for prevention and leadership inaction when warning signs are clear.

You will apply these lessons to board and executive decision-making, with a focus on strengthening accountability, translating policy into consistent action and improving how your organisation identifies and responds to risk. The aim is to protect participant rights and safety, safeguard the organisation and uphold the integrity of the sector.
