Operating in the NDIS takes more than good intentions. Providers need a clear understanding of the legislation, regulations and standards that shape service delivery, alongside the broader laws that protect people with disability.

This course explores key NDIS legislation and agencies, the other laws that apply to service providers, and the gaps or overlaps that can arise in everyday practice. You will consider how legal obligations influence governance, service delivery, privacy, safety, discrimination, funding and continuous improvement.

Legal knowledge must be translated into accessible information and consistent practice. Participants should be supported to understand their rights, know what to expect, ask questions, speak up and make informed choices. When organisations embed the intent of the law as well as its requirements, person-centred practice gains real accountability.
