Description

Every person is unique. The services provided should focus on the person and what they can do, not their disability.

To deliver person centered support there must be:

  • Respect for the individual
  • Treating people with dignity
  • Understanding person experiences and goals
  • Maintaining confidentiality
  • Communicate in a way that is easily understood 
  • Treat everyone as an individual
Before you can do that really well, It is helpful to understand some of the key terms and government bodies that are currently operating in the Disability Support Sector.


It should take you about 15 minutes to complete.

It will bring you up to speed with the NDIS, its objectives, its quality and safeguard system and its code of conduct.
